What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the contact form we collect your name, company, email address, role, location, the number of units you are interested in, the distributor you buy from if you tell us, and the content of your message. We collect this only because you chose to send it.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our host records standard technical information when a page is requested: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, and the date and time of the request. We use analytics software to understand which pages are visited and how people arrive at the site.
Information stored in your browser
If you use the helmet selector, your choice is stored locally in your own browser so it is still there when you return. That information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
What we do with it
- Respond to enquiries and route them to the right person or distribution partner
- Understand how the site is used so we can improve it
- Maintain security and prevent abuse of our forms
- Meet legal and record-keeping obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the site, and only as needed for them to do so:
- Our web host, which serves the site and processes contact form submissions
- Google Analytics, for aggregate usage statistics
- Our email provider, which delivers and stores messages you send us
- Our manufacturer’s rep groups and distribution partners, where you have asked us to connect you with them, or where routing your enquiry to them is the point of it
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of ILLUMAGEAR, our customers or others.
Our online store
Purchases are handled on a separate storefront at shop.illumagear.com, operated on Shopify. Payment, shipping and order information collected there is governed by the privacy policy and terms published on that storefront, and payment card details are handled by Shopify’s payment processors rather than by us.
Cookies
The site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and basic functionality. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Refusing them will not prevent you from using the site.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions and related correspondence are kept for as long as needed to answer your enquiry and to maintain a record of our dealings with you, and then for as long as required for legal or accounting purposes. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider’s standard retention settings.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to Sales@ILLUMAGEAR.com. Depending on where you live — including California, and countries covered by the GDPR — you may have additional rights, such as the right to object to certain processing, the right to data portability, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Children
This site is intended for businesses and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information submitted through this site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International visitors
We operate from the United States. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
